Usage Information

The board is intended for indoor use. It should be used according to the instructions and connected only to the supplied or recommended power supply.

Information about personalization

Due to the individual nature of the product, each board may differ in layout, number of fields, content of tasks, names, engraving, and background. The visualizations show a sample configuration.

Information about the execution time

The product is made individually after the order is placed. The execution time depends on the selected variant, personalization, engraving, and the agreed layout of the board.

Before starting the execution, we confirm the most important configuration details with the client.

Who is FamilyBoard for?

FamilyBoard is particularly useful in homes where:

• daily tasks are often forgotten,
• parents have to constantly remind children about chores,
• the family wants to share responsibilities fairly,
• there are pets in the house,
• multiple people share a single space,
• a clear, visible daily plan without phones and apps would be helpful.

Optional PIOKAMI Care subscription

The board operates locally without a subscription. The optional packagePIOKAMI Careprovides additional service care and device development.

As part of the subscription, the customer can receive:

• software updates,
• fixes and enhancements,
• remote diagnostics,
• help with Wi-Fi changes,
• support for configuration changes,
• access to new features in the future.

A subscription is not required for the basic operation of the board.

Absence mode

If someone is away from home, they can be marked as absent at the bottom of the board. When the appropriate button is pressed, a blue LED lights up next to that person.

An absent person is not included in the current assignment of duties. If they had a task assigned, the system may skip them and pass the duty to the next available person according to the schedule.

This is useful when someone:

• is at work,
• is away,
• is staying out of town,
• is sick,
• is not participating in duties that day.

First connection to Wi-Fi

After the first startup, the board creates its own configuration network. Just connect to it with your phone, enter the local configuration panel, and input the data for your home Wi-Fi network.

The Wi-Fi password is stored locally on the board. It does not need to be provided when placing an order.

On a daily basis, the board operates locally — even when there is temporarily no internet. The network connection is used for configuration, updates, and service support.

Personalization for a specific family

Each board is prepared individually after the order is placed.

Personalization options:

• number of family members,
• names of household members,
• task list,
• assignment layout,
• number of children included in the points system,
• task assignment schedule,
• engraving on the wooden casing,
• custom background or graphic theme,
• matching the appearance to the interior.

This is why FamilyBoard is not a ready-made, universal gadget, but a product specially made for your family.

Point system for children

FamilyBoard can motivate children to complete household chores with a simple point system.

The principle is clear:

1 completed task = 1 point

Each child has their own row of green point lights. The number of available points corresponds to the number of tasks on the board. If the board has 7 tasks, each child can earn a maximum of 7 points in a given cycle.

Points can later be exchanged for rewards set by the family, such as:

• extra playtime,
• a family outing,
• choosing a movie,
• a small reward,
• household privilege.

The point system helps children see their progress and build a sense of responsibility.

Fair rotation of duties

With PIOKAMI FamilyBoard, it can operate according to a set schedule where duties rotate among household members. This way, everyone knows when it's their turn, and the division of tasks is clearer.

The system adheres to the rule:

one task = one person

This means that the same task will not be assigned to multiple people at the same time. Only one light is lit on the board for a specific task and a specific person.

LED light colors

The colors have been chosen so that household members immediately know what each status means:

• yellow — task to be done,
• green — task completed,
• red — overdue task,
• gray / off — no active assignment,
• blue — person marked as absent.

This way, the whole family can quickly check the situation without opening the app, calendar, or notes.

How does the PIOKAMI FamilyBoard work?

The board contains fields with the names of household members and fields with tasks. The system operates according to a set schedule and automatically shows who is responsible for a specific task on a given day.

Sample tasks:

• take out the trash,
• take the pet for a walk,
• water the plants,
• empty the dishwasher,
• do the laundry,
• clean the litter boxes,
• feed the animals.

For each task, only one active LED lights up — next to the person responsible for it. After completing the task, simply press the round button"Confirm", and the board will change the task status to completed.

Responsibilities divided among household members

In every family, there are tasks that need to be done regularly: taking out the trash, walking the pet, feeding the animals, watering the plants, running the dishwasher, washing machine, or cleaning the litter box.

The problem starts when no one remembers who is supposed to take care of it today.

PIOKAMI FamilyBoardsolves this problem in a simple and clear way.

The board shows household members their current responsibilities using LCD displays, colored LED lights, and physical buttons.

Each task is assigned to only one person, which eliminates confusion, duplication of duties, and daily discussions about who was supposed to do what.
